Ukraines long range drones

Since the Ukraine war started, the Ukrainians have developed a good amount of long range drones domestically. Here is an overview of Ukraines long range drones. While Ukraine has received plenty of mid-long range drones and missiles like the ATACMS and Storm Shadow, they oftentimes have restricted use and they don’t get them in the quantities they need.

The FP-1 is a drone made by the start up company Fire Point, which gained some attention because they also produce the large FP-5 missile, better known as the Flamingo that is said to be a game changer in the Ukraine war. It can carry a 60 kg warhead and has a reach of 1600 km. This is to my knowledge the highest reach within Ukraines long range drones. The cost is an estimated 55000 $.

The reach is said to be between 600 km – 1000 km and it can carry a payload of 20 kg. One unit costs 110000 $.

Rubaka

A rather small kamikaze drone is the Rubaka. I didn’t find any specific dimensions, but from the pictures, one can tell that the wingspan should be about 2 m long. It can carry an 8 kg payload and has a 500 km reach. This drone is probably used as an assistance to its bigger counterparts to overwhelm air defense and clear the way for the more destructive drones. The cost is 15000 $ per unit and the company that made them is classified.
